Kigali: On 10th December 2020, Rwanda Polytechnic represented by the Vice Chancellor Dr. James Gashumba signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the City of Kigali represented by Mayor Pudence Rubingisa. The purpose of this MoU is to establish an integrated synergy between the City of Kigali and the Rwanda Polytechnic in the areas of Urbanization and Engineering relevant to the sustainable and growth of Kigali city and relevance to training of students of the Rwanda Polytechnic.
These areas shall include urban planning, landscape, Civil Engineering, Irrigation and Water Engineering, Agriculture Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Wildlife Management, Wildlife Tourism, Forest Resources Management, Mechanical Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Mining Engineering, civil engineering.
The cooperation is mutually profitable through design competitions, a work apprenticeship program, production of real products, research proposals, project calls, workshops, consultancies, partnerships, internships among others.
The Parties agree to join efforts to lay the foundation for future collaborations and to maintain close working relationships to achieve the objectives of any future common project.
